For our Lugano office we are looking for an Associate in the areas of Corporate M&A / Tax (ideally candidates are interested in both areas) to support our team. You can expect a variety of mandates, which are often complex cases with local, nationwide or international contacts. We offer you the opportunity to quickly take on responsibility and work independently.

• Close collaboration within the team;
• Interaction with various specialists from B\\xc3\\xa4r & Karrer at all locations;
• Personal contact with clients;
• Cooperation with colleagues from abroad;
• Drafting and negotiating contracts;
• Legal support for corporate transactions;
• Crafting memoranda, opinions, and legal advice;
• Comprehensive consultation for both natural and legal entities on all tax-related matters;
• Negotiation and acquisition of tax rulings, assistance to clients in tax compliance efforts, involvement in information exchange initiatives, as well as referral of tax disputes to judicial authorities.

Your profile:

• You have successfully completed your degree course in law and have been admitted to the Swiss bar.
• Strong interest in cross-border issues and continuous on-the-job training, as well as participation in seminars and similar opportunities;
• Native Italian speaker (with very good German skills) or German speaker (with very good Italian skills) as well as profound knowledge of written and spoken English; Team player with a strong sense of loyalty;
• Additional tax-related education is advantageous. We offer the opportunity to pursue such education alongside your professional responsibilities, or to complete it if already underway;
