\\n Assistant Director of Admissions - Switzerland Department: Enrollment Management
Reports to: Vice President of Admissions and Enrollment Management
Key Areas of Responsibility
Prepare and implement a fall and spring undergraduate recruitment travel schedule to include school visits, fairs and individual meetings with prospective students, families and other key stakeholders;
Prepare reports of all travel school visits, conferences, fairs etc.;
Submit expense reports for all travel in a timely manner;
Provide timely and personalized follow-up correspondence with prospects from assigned travel region;
Correspond regularly with school counselors and other key external stakeholders (admissions ambassadors, independent educational consultants, FUS partners etc.);
Review applicant files in an assigned area, and submit completed files to the VP of Admissions and Enrollment Management for final decisions;
Organize, promote and implement accepted student receptions as well as general information sessions (in-person and virtual) in assigned regions;
Organize, promote and implement on campus events including campus visits, Open House, Counselor Fly-Ins in cooperation with the other Lugano-based Assistant Director of Admissions;
Assist with the continuous implementation of Slate Technolutions (admissions & recruitment CRM), helping to streamline the overall Admissions process;
Follow up with leads/inquiries/apps in progress/admitted students ensuring conversion into matriculated students;
Serve as a liaison with colleagues and eventually Swiss Embassies to facilitate the student matriculation process, including the visa application process;
Oversee the Life Long Learning Scholarship (LLLS) program for the office; Manage online tools aimed at generating interest and engagement with prospective and admitted students specifically for assigned territories (Global Match, Unibuddy, etc.);
Assist with follow-up of partnership MoUs and communication with university partners (study abroad, freshmen abroad, exchange).
Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with this position, the department\\\'s goals and the University\\\'s mission.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor\\\'s degree required
At least two years of professional experience in the field of higher education admissions and student recruitment or related field
Excellent mastery of the English language
Good knowledge of Italian preferred
Candidates must possess strong written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
Must work simultaneously with multiple projects, deadlines, and departments
Demonstrated ability to work with and recruit students of diverse backgrounds
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members across physical distances and time zones
Flexibility and initiative, as well as the ability to work independently with little supervision, combined with the skills for thriving in a team environment to achieve institutional goals
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed and flexibility to travel for student recruitment on average 8 weeks per year (mainly during the peak Fall season September-November and in Spring February-April)
Strong work ethic, results-oriented, and proactive with excellent teamwork and friendly disposition
Able to work in a high energy, fast-paced environment
