Applications and concepts Engineer

YOUR MISSION

Reporting to our Applications and Projects department, you will draw up detailed quotations for complex automation equipment. You will then support our sales team and present the concept to our customers.

Your main responsibilities include :

• Examine technical specifications (URS, customer product, assembly sequence, etc.) and customer products to develop an assembly concept based on our technology and standard platforms.
• Organize feasibility studies in collaboration with our in-house engineering departments to find solutions to specific design problems.
• Provide our customers with product design assistance to improve the assembly process.
• Collaborate with technical departments and vendors to develop equipment/service concepts and budget costs.
• Drawing up, writing and presenting detailed bids for complex automation equipment/services.
• Provide sales support in negotiations with customers, drawing on your technical skills and product knowledge.
• Identify customer needs on the basis of information received from sales and differentiate between real needs and technical options.
• Obtain quotations and agree terms and delivery times for sub-systems by contacting suppliers directly.
• Monitor and update the tools used to produce bids (library, bid text for standard functions, etc.).

YOUR PROFILE

• Holder of a Bachelor\\\'s or Master\\\'s degree in Engineering, ideally with a focus on microtechnology or automation, you have several years\\\' experience in drawing up tenders and in project management.
• You know how to use 3D software, and Microsoft Office is no mystery to you.
• Strong analytical and abstract skills while maintaining a creative approach to your work.
• Pragmatic, well-organized and methodical, you know how to manage priorities in order to respond successfully to an offer.
• Thanks to your interpersonal skills and your customer and solution orientation, you have strong communication, negotiation and persuasion skills.
• You are at ease in a multicultural environment and have a good command of French and English, which you use on a daily basis, both orally and in writing, with our subsidiaries, suppliers and customers. German is a plus.
