Job description
To support the management and activities of our research group, Prof. Mutlu is looking for an efficient and energetic Administrative Assistant who can support him and the group with all the administrative and organizational needs such that the research, teaching and service done by the group continues to have outstanding impact both globally and locally within Europe and Switzerland.
In this position, you will support the professor and group members with administrative and organizational matters. This includes human resources, accounting, budgeting and finances, including expense reports and purchasing, administration of research projects & industry funding, coordination of group events, hosting of visitors, helping group members in many issues, mail and office management, and annual reporting.
You will support the group in two locations: ETZ (Gloriastrasse 35, Zurich) and OAT (Andreasstrasse 5, Zurich).
The preferred starting date is as soon as possible, ideally October 1st, 2023.
Your profile
You have several years of experience in a similar role
You bring enthusiasm to working in a fast-paced, international working environment and can deal well with tight deadlines
You have a problem-solving mindset, are methodical, possess outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills to work well with a diverse set of people ranging from scientists in the group and administrators at the university
You have an efficient, agile working style with a flexible attitude
You have excellent computer skills (MS Office, SAP, Google Docs, spreadsheet and document management, effective communication using email and other media used in the group)
You are proficient in English and German both in writing and speaking
